Lead Medical Technologist

Lead Medical Technologist position at a global central laboratory performing complex laboratory analyses, interpreting clinical data, and leading day-to-day unit operations. The role requires expertise in clinical laboratory equipment, quality control procedures, and staff training within a fully onsite environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, calibrate clinical laboratory equipment and implement preventative maintenance and safety protocols
• Oversee quality control procedures, maintain QC databases, set up and validate new assays
• Lead daily laboratory operations, organize workflows, and resolve interdepartmental issues
• Train new employees and students in laboratory medicine; mentor team members and assess staff competency
• Recommend and author new standard operating procedures and policies for the unit

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification
• 5+ years of experience in clinical laboratory operations or related field
• Strong critical thinking and analytical instrumentation skills
• Leadership abilities with experience training and assessing staff competency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• US work authorization without sponsorship required
