Job Summary McLean Hospital is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing easy access to superior, cost‑effective mental health services in the Boston area.The Digital Neuropsychology and Brain Health Laboratory invites a Post‑Doctoral Research Fellow to work independently under the supervision of Dr. Shifali Singh, PhD, in developing novel, innovative approaches for measuring everyday cognition at scale using digital technologies. Responsibilities Assist management of ongoing studies related to cognition, mood, and behavior Design and implement modifications of lab‑related and independent research protocols Troubleshoot problems and instruct colleagues in highly specialized techniques Synthesise and interpret results Perform advanced data recording and analysis using various software programs and statistical techniques – must be comfortable with R and statistical software Knowledge and experience working with LLMs, machine learning, and time‑series analyses is preferred Experience analyzing voice data is a bonus but not required Experience working with industry is preferred but not required Present results at lab meetings and national conferences Prepare and submit research manuscripts to peer‑reviewed journals Assist with preparation of grant applications Other duties as assigned A Successful Candidate Will Work independently under general direction of the Principal Investigator Be motivated, meticulous, organized, and detail‑oriented Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm for learning new techniques Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Possess strong technical abilities and computer‑science skills Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills as demonstrated by publications and presentations Make independent and effective decisions in a timely fashion Be competent in research techniques and methodologies Have excellent interpersonal skills Be a team player who works well with other lab members Qualifications & Requirements PhD in clinical neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, computational neuroscience/biology, quantitative psychology, human‑computer interaction, or a related field (or equivalent) Prior lab experience required Evidence of strong scientific productivity, including peer‑reviewed publications Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong technical and computer‑science skills Exceptional written and oral communication skills Independent decision‑making ability Competence in research techniques and methodologies Excellent interpersonal skills Team player Additional Requirements Assistance in guiding research technicians and trainees in the lab is expected. Working Conditions Work will be performed in a fast‑paced research laboratory environment requiring teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
