Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize goal achievement and enhance patient engagement.
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions, including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and use of specialized modalities, to effectively address the needs of each patient.
• Maintain clear communication with physicians and other members of the patient care team to coordinate treatment schedules and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices to promote independence.
• Evaluate patient progression toward physical rehabilitation goals and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Utilize a variety of documentation systems to maintain accurate records of patient care, progress, and outcomes.
• Oversee and mentor support staff in patient care practices, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and the legal scope of practice for physical therapy, prioritizing patient safety and outcome success.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
