SC CTSI Resources Strategic Manager The Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI) translates science into solutions through service provision and innovation in translational science, education, and resources. The Resources Strategic Manager supports the implementation of strategies and day‑to‑day operations of programs that provide core resources and services for clinical and translational science. Overview This role blends leadership with project management to operationalize institute strategies, promote integration within and across SC CTSI elements, and strengthen translational science focus and capabilities. Responsibilities Support faculty and staff of SC CTSI resource cores in planning, executing, and evaluating operations based on strategic aims and program goals. Prepare long and short‑range plans and milestones with resource cores; identify researcher needs and align priorities with USC/CHLA and national efforts. Drive translational science initiatives that develop, demonstrate, and disseminate best practices; apply innovation and strategies to improve research efficiency and effectiveness. Partner with SC CTSI Communication team and resource programs to develop promotion and outreach strategies, including needs assessments, promotion plans, newsletters, and event planning. Facilitate dissemination of resource program impact through content creation and supporting paper and publication writing. Work with SC CTSI Evaluation team to conduct program evaluation and improvement, preparing presentations and reports for SC CTSI leadership and NCATS. Develop and ensure effective processes and procedures, implementing quality controls for compliance with funding and reporting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a health field, Business Management, Research Administration, or related fields (Master’s or PhD preferred). Minimum 7years of program management in an academic setting and 5years of leadership and staff supervision experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication, time‑management, organizational, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to engage and empower a large team, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and navigate complex research organizations. Capability to prioritize and track multiple projects, maintain organized shared files, and respond quickly to competing priorities. Position is primarily remote; physical presence 1–2 days per week on USC campus is expected. Annual base salary range: $109,264.28 – $145,323.02.
