Senior Accountant

Orange County, CA (Hybrid) Part-Time (24-32 hours/week) | 4-6 Month Contract Opportunity W2 Only | No C2C Arrangements We are partnering with a well-established organization seeking a Senior Accountant for a part-time, 4-6 month contract engagement. This hybrid role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can step in quickly, work independently, and support critical accounting and financial reporting functions. The position offers a mix of month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and special projects within a collaborative and fast-paced accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries related to month-end close, including accruals and prepaid expenses Perform bank reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules Reconcile intercompany accounts and investigate variances Review general ledger activity and ensure financial data accuracy Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month-end workpapers Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation activity Track prepaid expenses and prepare related amortization entries Support payroll accounting and associated journal entries Assist with lender reporting, compliance requirements, and financial analyses Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits and tax filings Support accounting for multiple entities and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills Experience working within ERP systems Yardi experience preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Preferred Experience Multi-entity accounting experience Fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations Audit support and financial reporting experience Yardi experience is highly desirable Real estate, property management, asset management, or corporate accounting background preferred What We're Looking For A hands-on accountant who can contribute immediately Someone comfortable working independently and managing their own workload A detail-oriented professional with strong follow-through and accountability An individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and communicates effectively with stakeholders This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant seeking a flexible, part-time contract role with a stable organization and an experienced accounting team. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
