Job Title: Building Code Compliance Manager Location: Itasca, ILSalary: $80,000-$140,000Overview:This role manages code compliance by reviewing plans, interpreting regulations, and guiding teams to ensure projects meet required standards. The position supports engineering, customers, and internal groups through technical expertise and coordinated plan review activities.Responsibilities:Review plans and technical documents for compliance with building and safety codesInterpret applicable codes and standards across multiple disciplinesCoordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve compliance issuesPrepare documentation, reports, and corrective noticesAnalyze state programs and streamline review processesIdentify and resolve code-related issues and support practical solutionsOversee fabrication alignment with approved plans and requirementsProvide training and guidance on code compliance practicesRequirements:Strong knowledge of applicable codes and state regulationsAbility to interpret complex drawings and technical documentsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with permitting systems and related softwareWorking knowledge of mechanical and electrical designExperience with SolidWorks or similar modeling toolsExperience with AutoCADBachelor’s degree in a related field and five years code review experienceMCP (Master Code Professional) certification preferred
