PositionPurpose:AsaQualityInspector,youwillbebuilding andusingyourskillsandabilitiestoensurethatour productsmeet internal andcustomer requirements. Youmayverify procuredparts fromsuppliers,productsand assemblies from spacecomponentmanufacturing operations, and even fully completed spacecraft.You will help the company improve by providing feedback on processes, procedures, and observations tofacilitatecontinuous improvement.And ultimately, yourcontributions will help ensure that our customers receive reliable spaceflight hardware that meet or exceed their expectations.Inspectors aregenerally assignedto either mechanical or electrical roles with the corresponding responsibilities below.

Pay Range: $22.00 - 30.00/hour

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

On-site position at our Boulder, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

JobResponsibilities:

• Inspectionofmechanicalhardwareusingcalipers,micrometers,heightgages,threadgages,andCMMs.

• Inspection of printed wiring boards (PWB), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical(EEE)components,cableassemblies,andinspectionofprintedwiring assemblies (PWA.)

• Inspectionofspaceflightcomponentssuchasbuses,solararrays,sunsensors,reactionwheelsand other subassembly components.

• Reviewingandverifyingincomingdocumentationfromsuppliersincludingmaterialtraceability, test reports, certificates of conformity, and packing lists.

• Documentationofinspectionactivitiesusingelectronicinformationsystems,writtenlogs,andlabels.

• Witnessandverifyvarioustestingandsetupoperations.

• Detectionofnon- conformingconditionsanddocumentinginclearandpreciselanguage.

• CollaboratewithprogramQualityEngineersandManufacturingpersonnelinsupportofprocess and product non-conformances in a constructive and well-articulated manner.

• Fosteracollaborativeandinteractiveteamenvironmentthatsupportsbothalearningand teaching culture. Maintain an effective work relationship with others in the company.

• Followestablishedjobsafetypractices,policiesandproceduresasspecifiedinplantandin corporate directives for the safe performance of daily activities. Proactively suggest improvements and elevate issues to management.

RequiredQualifications/Education:

• HighschooldiplomaorGEDEquivalent
• 0-3 years of experience

• InspectionorQualityEngineeringexperienceinaerospace/defense,electronicscontract manufacturing, and/or high precision machining.

• ExperiencewithGeometricDimensioningandTolerancing(GD &TASMEY14.5-Formaltraining is preferred)

• ExperiencewithinspectionofelectronicworkmanshipofPWAandcables(IPC -610,IPC-620.)

• Preferenceisgiventocurrent3rdpartycertification.Beingabletobecertified to thesestandards will berequiredto perform the job duties.

• Experiencedwithandunderstandingofmechanicaldrawingsandinterpretingtechnicalschematics.

• ExperienceperformingReceivingInspectionandreviewingmaterialcertifications.

• ExperienceusingERP/MRPandengineeringdatamanagementsoftware.

• Basicunderstandingofmaterialflowinamanufacturingenvironmentandimportanceof measuring tool calibration.

• FamiliaritywithISO9000requirementsasitpertainstomanufacturingandqualityoperations. AS9100 experience preferred.

• Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
