About The Role: CrowdStrike is looking for a Data Scientist and AI researcher with a deep understanding of Generative Models, training and fine tuning the models for various kinds of predictive or generative tasks. This person should have strong foundational knowledge of various Generative AI model architectures and be able to demonstrate via experience and projects practical and applied knowledge towards product capabilities and features. Deep understanding of various LLM concepts such as RAG, AI Workflows, Agentic AI, AI Agents, AI Agent Frameworks, MCP, A2A is required. The candidate should be able to understand requirements, research possible solutions, prototype and implement scalable, performant code. The candidate should have expert level knowledge of Python and frameworks like PyTorch, and experience in white paper publishing and speaking at conferences. Success Means: Architecting and delivering scalable prototypes for various features. Ability to research and compare and contrast various solutions for a given problem. Gather feedback and iterate towards a final solution while addressing the feedback. Ability to provide detailed design and architecture documents for the feature. The ability to present the problem and describe the solution in easy to understand ways for a larger audience. Ability to measure, report and explain the efficacy characteristics of the solution. Ability to write deep technical papers for internal and external audiences. Ability to speak at internal and external events as needed. Ability to present and explain the feature in the context of the product to customers as needed. Ability to work at the code layers of models having deep understanding of cuda, kernels, and frameworks like PyTorch. What You’ll Do: Research, design, and prototype cutting‑edge generative AI solutions that enhance CrowdStrike’s AI Detection and Response capabilities, translating complex AI concepts into practical security features. Create, curate, and maintain high‑quality datasets for training and evaluating deep learning models; establish data collection pipelines, labeling workflows, and quality assurance processes to ensure dataset integrity. Conduct experiments to further the capabilities of existing models. What You’ll Need: 6+ years of combined experience as an ML/AI researcher and practitioner. 3+ years building or prototyping Generative AI features, training and fine‑tuning AI or deep learning models. Bonus Points: Previous experience in security companies and working in close coordination with or in security products. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $140,000 – $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.
