Job Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University seeks a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, to serve as a general anesthesiologist at the Columbia County Hospital. This position will provide clinical care in Anesthesiology. Salary will be commensurate with experience. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.

Clinical- 100% Includes providing anesthesia care to relevant patient population. Completion of all anesthesia related charting to include: Attesting to procedures Completing/Signing all preoperative and postoperative notes in a timely manner Signing and closing all encounters

The position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Advancement through the faculty ranks at Augusta University is only through the annual Promotion and Tenure process in which faculty may apply if eligible (typically five-year increments).

The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class.
