The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing commercial/civil litigation for business representation. Responsibilities: Manage all phases of commercial litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and trial. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to identify and interpret laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities to prepare legal documents. Represent the company in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitration hearings. Provide counsel to clients on litigation risks and strategy, dispute resolution, and potential impacts on their business. Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement litigation strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain current knowledge of changes in legislation and case law that may impact the company and its clients. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed in New York Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on complex commercial disputes. Proficient in legal research and analysis, with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and court decisions. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner. Proven track record of effectively managing litigation matters from inception to resolution. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a manner that preserves and enhances business relationships. Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
