Construction Associate Attorney

Job Title: Construction Associate Location: New York, NY Experience Level: Mid- to Senior-Level (5+ years) Job Description A New York-based Real Estate Group is seeking a mid- to senior-level Construction Associate with at least five years of experience advising clients on construction projects. This role involves working closely with owners and developers on commercial and residential real estate construction matters. Responsibilities Advise clients on all phases of commercial and residential construction projects Draft and negotiate design, engineering, consulting, and construction agreements Prepare and negotiate right of entry, access, and closeout agreements Counsel clients on construction claims and dispute resolution Assist in resolving construction-related disputes outside of arbitration and litigation Support real estate transactional matters including development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing (preferred) Participate in client education initiatives and business development presentations Mentor junior associates and contribute to team initiatives Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing Minimum 5 years of law firm experience in construction or real estate law Strong knowledge of construction case law and the New York Lien Law Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills Strong academic credentials Preferred Experience Transactional real estate experience including development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, or financing Compensation $215,000 - $355,000 per year Compensation will be based on experience, education, skills, credentials, and other job-related factors.
