Director Global Category Manager BIO

Director – Category Manager EXM-Biologics (BIO) Responsibilities Own assigned BIO categories/product technologies; serve as category SME. Develop and maintain category strategies aligned to business priorities, manufacturing needs, and supplier capabilities. Define and deliver 3–5 year savings and improvement roadmaps; support demand planning, capacity assessments, and sourcing roadmaps. Partner with Strategic Sourcing to execute RFx, negotiations, and contracts; provide expertise on supplier selection, negotiation approaches, and award decisions. Define supplier management strategies; guide performance management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement. Communicate category plans, sourcing activities, risks, and trade-offs with cross-functional stakeholders. Drive category value initiatives (cost optimization, sourcing improvements, supplier performance); track and report performance/value delivery. Use market/supplier intelligence to shape strategies and decisions; position Teva as a customer of choice. Support adoption of category tools/templates/best practices; improve consistency and discipline; coach team. Qualifications Experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement in pharmaceutical/biotech/life sciences or other regulated industries. Experience managing External Manufacturing (EXM), CMO/CDMO partnerships, or strategic supplier relationships. Experience leading sourcing initiatives, negotiations, supplier engagement, and cross-functional projects. Strong understanding of biologics manufacturing/CDMO networks/outsourced biologics supply chains (highly desirable). Skills & Attributes Hands-on execution; strong organizational/prioritization; stakeholder communication/collaboration; analytical/commercial aptitude; comfort in evolving, lower-maturity procurement environments. Education Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
