Staff Accountant

We are partnering with a growing, multi-national financial technology corporation that delivers innovative software solutions to the insurance industry. Operating in a fully remote environment, they offer a fast-paced, collaborative culture where detail-oriented finance professionals can thrive and take true ownership of their work.  Our client is seeking an agile, motivated Staff Accountant to support their global finance division. Reporting directly to the Financial Operations Manager, you will touch nearly every aspect of the accounting cycle, from daily transactional oversight to month-end close and statutory compliance. This is an exceptional opportunity for a foundational accountant looking to scale their skills in international finance and corporate accounting. Previous experience with Sage Intacct is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting Support: Assist senior finance team members with day-to-day general ledger activities, ensuring overall accuracy and procedural alignment.

• Reconciliations & Ledger Accuracy: Conduct comprehensive monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, revenues, corporate credit cards, AP/AR, cash, and payroll liabilities.

• Transactional Operations: Process vendor invoices, code day-to-day financial transactions, and assist with international tax workflows (including UK VAT).

• Payroll Management: Navigate and manage end-to-end employee payroll processing and system updates.

• Reporting & Audit Prep: Compile daily cash flow statements, organize data for regulatory and statutory filings, and prepare supporting documentation for external auditors and tax accountants.

• Process Improvement: Help document internal controls and workflows while actively suggesting ways to optimize financial efficiency.
