About the Opportunity

A prominent Long Island personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its team of accomplished attorneys. The firm represents plaintiffs across personal injury, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, mass tort, and related matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with hands-on plaintiff-side personal injury experience who wants to manage meaningful cases, advocate directly for injured clients, and participate in additional compensation opportunities.

The position also offers unlimited backend compensation on originated cases that are successfully settled .

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective clients to evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal guidance.
• Investigate accident reports, medical records, witness statements, and other relevant documentation.
• Gather and analyze evidence to develop strong cases on behalf of clients.
• Work with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other professionals as needed.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Draft complaints, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients during hearings, depositions, court proceedings, and trials.
• Present legal arguments, question witnesses, and advocate for clients throughout the litigation process.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and legal strategy.
• Manage multiple active matters while meeting court and case deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New York.
• 2+ years of legal experience.
• Plaintiff-side personal injury experience is required.
• Experience handling personal injury cases from evaluation through settlement and/or litigation.
• Strong negotiation, legal research, writing, and client communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.

Important Candidate Requirements

• Candidates must currently be located in the NYC/Long Island market.
• This position is onsite five days per week.
• Relocation is not available.
• Plaintiff-side personal injury experience is required. Defense-side-only candidates will not be considered.

Compensation

Base Salary: $135,000–$160,000 annually

Additional compensation includes commissions and bonuses , along with unlimited backend compensation for originated cases that settle .
