This lead will ensure seamless integration between the Flight Sciences Organization and multiple FBM Programs, including the Common Missile Compartment, Life Extension 2, Reentry Payload Integration, and Deployed Systems Support Programs. The successful candidate will often act as standing deputy and technical assistant to the Flight Sciences Senior Manager. Your focus area will be Flight Sciences Analysis Integration. You will be a liaison between the Flight Sciences team and the program and customer. You will be responsible for integrating test data needs for analysis as well as Modeling and Simulation conclusions with System Requirements, Verification, and Design Development. You will be responsible for fielding technical questions from and preparing presentations for the Navy customer and upper level management.The information below reflects the standard job description for this position:Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of and/or experience in Modeling and Simulation and/or Physics based analysisAbility to build consensus among diverse stakeholders while building solid relationships with team membersStrong presentation skills; capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge, translating highly technical topics into easy to understand presentationsExperience and mastery of one or more Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions at the enterprise level, including:a.) Enterprise-level trade studies and/or enterprise architecture modelingb.) Mission-level requirements analysis and definition of top-level interfaces among majorsystem componentsc.) Integration, Test and/or Verification of requirements across major interfacesd.) Verification/ validation planning and execution with an understanding of all theinterdependenciese.)
