KMC Stampings is seeking a Brake Press Operator to work on 1st shift at our Port Washington location. This role operates manual brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges Sorting and packaging parts Verify quantity & quality of material Empty scrap luggars and performs miscellaneous tasks as required Operates overhead crane while moving product Complete & maintain all required paperwork Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Highly motivated self starter Requires 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience Basic reading & writing skills Strong attention to detail Interpersonal skills & friendly attitude Ability to function well in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required talk or hear and may occasionally sit; regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
