Medical Technologist II

Role Overview: Medical Technologists support high-quality laboratory testing in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare specimens and perform routine and specialized laboratory tests. Conduct quality control, troubleshoot errors, and perform instrument maintenance. Recognize and evaluate computer data issues and laboratory instrument problems. Communicate technical information effectively to medical and lay audiences. Assist in training laboratory personnel and participate in continuing education. Identify normal and abnormal values, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Model professional Standards of Behavior in daily activities. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or relevant scientific discipline. At least one year of clinical laboratory experience. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent. Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments and computer data issues. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
