Medical Director/Sr Medical Director - Pulmonary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Medical Director or Senior Medical Director in pulmonary medicine to oversee clinical trial medical aspects, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide medical consultation across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle. The role involves safety monitoring, adverse event review, and support for clinical development activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medical aspects of clinical trials ensuring compliance with SOPs, regulations, and ICH guidelines
• Monitor safety variables including adverse events, lab abnormalities, and patient medical status changes
• Review and provide medical input on serious adverse events, clinical outcomes, and safety signals
• Provide medical consultation to team members, investigators, and clients on study-related questions
• Review and interpret safety/efficacy data for clinical trial reports and regulatory submissions

Requirements

• MD or equivalent medical degree
• Clinical experience in Pulmonary/Critical Care with formal residency and/or fellowship training
• Approximately 2 years of patient treatment experience in pulmonary/critical care
• For Senior level: 1-2 years clinical trial experience in CRO, pharma, or as principal investigator
• For Senior level: alternatively, 2 years direct safety/pharmacovigilance experience
• Active medical licensure preferred but not required
• Legal authorization to work in United States or Canada without sponsorship
