Job Title: Sr. Accountant / Supervisor Accounting
Job Location - Independence, OH (Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site)
Duration - 03 Months (Temp-to-Perm based on performance and budget)

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days/week on-site, Wednesdays required; flexibility available. Option for 5 days on-site with a dedicated workspace.)

Job Description:

The Accounting Supervisor's major areas of responsibility will include financial accounting, including:

• Month-end close procedures
• General ledger account analyses
• Preparation/posting of journal entries
• Technical accounting research
• Reporting and internal reporting requests related to Division, Regional branches, Corporate
• Fulfilling requests related to internal/external audit procedures
• All other ad hoc analyses or special projects

This position must be able to build effective relationships with all levels of associates within the organization. This role will also liaise with the Client's shared services, including:

• Accounts payable
• Cash applications
• Central billing
• Vendor chargebacks
• General ledger accounting
• Fixed asset functions as defined in the Client's RACI matrix

In Particular, You Will:

• Ensure the accuracy & integrity of the Division/Region financial statements and other information reported to internal and external users.

Direct responsibility will include:

• Supervising accurate financial and statistical close processes, in conjunction with the Client's shared services, including general ledger account reconciliations and other analyses within established timelines.
• Handling significant sales accruals that are not based on a standard report/calculation.
• Managing significant COS & OPEX accruals, that are not based on a standard report/calculation.
• Addressing localized accounting topics including, but not limited to, real estate taxes and personal property taxes.
• Ad-hoc entries arising from the month-end close review process.
