Embark on a rewarding contract position serving schools near Waukegan, IL, as an experienced School Psychologist. This full-time opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, to June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday. You’ll work across elementary, middle, and high school caseloads, engaging in meaningful work that supports student success and growth.

Licensed School Psychologists in Illinois are needed for two unique roles:

• One position focuses on early childhood (0.6 FTE, 3 days per week), dedicated to screening and evaluating children ages 3–5, guiding families new to the special education process, and supporting transitions from early intervention programs. This itinerant role involves travel between three preschools in Winnetka and ongoing communication with families, preschool partners, and special education team members.
• The other (1.0 FTE, 5 days per week) specializes in grades K-4, providing expert evaluations, facilitating MTSS data team meetings, supporting IEP and problem-solving processes, and maintaining clear family communication throughout.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Psychologist licensure is required
• Proven skills in assessment, conducting eligibility and re-evaluation meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
• Strong understanding of special education law and best practices in early childhood or K-4 settings
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with families, colleagues, and school teams
• Experience attending and facilitating IEP meetings

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments and evaluations
• Lead and participate in eligibility reviews, re-evaluations, and IEP meetings
• Collaborate with multiple school teams and families to create effective learning strategies
• Provide recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions
