Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist under our care, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions within their home environments.
• Formulating individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and goals of each patient, considering their unique circumstances and capabilities.
• Implementing a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercises, hands-on techniques, and modalities to relieve pain and optimize mobility.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously to track effectiveness, making adjustments to treatment plans when necessary to align with evolving needs.
• Training patients, families, and caregivers in the use of assistive devices and methods to promote independence in daily activities.
• Maintaining professional knowledge and skills through continued education, workshops, and participation in relevant professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from pediatric to geriatric populations, each facing various challenges that may limit their mobility and quality of life. Whether you are working with children recovering from sports injuries or seniors managing post-operative recovery, your role is pivotal in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals. You will develop rapport with patients, understanding their individual stories and crafting customized therapy plans to empower them in their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families, as well as with partners in health care.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
• A flexible and adaptable nature to respond to the dynamic needs of patients in various home settings.

Preferred Experience
