Pay: $16–$19/hour (based on experience)
About the Role
Get Well Clinic (FM 1960 - Humble, TX) is our flagship location, originally established as an urgent care clinic and now thriving as a leading medical weight-loss clinic. We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Front Desk Medical Assistant who enjoys patient interaction and creating a welcoming environment while guiding daily front office operations. This role is ideal for a Medical Assistant who prefers front-office responsibilities or a customer service-driven professional with a strong interest in healthcare and a commitment to long-term work stability.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the tone for patient experience, support and coordinate the front desk team, and grow with us as you learn our systems and workflows.
Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional attitude
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls
• Schedule appointments and manage daily patient flow
• Collect payments, verify charges, and provide receipts
• Process medication refill requests
• Monitor and manage fax communications and clinic email
• Maintain accurate patient records within the EHR system
• Support front office operations to ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience
Required Qualifications
• Preferred: Medical Assistant with at least 2 years of experience
• Open to training the right candidate with an excellent personality and strong work history
• Proven stability in previous employment (long-term tenure preferred)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule
Preferred
- Prior leadership or team lead experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
Note: This position does not require insurance verification experience. Full training will be provided for the right candidate transitioning into healthcare.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends.
