This role contributes to disciplined deal execution by supporting pricing strategy, configuration, and financial alignment, while ensuring compliance with established governance, pricing frameworks, and approval processes across commercial proposals.As part of the evolution toward a centralized Deal Desk / Quote Desk operating model, this role also serves as a primary execution partner to the field Sales organization by owning quote creation, configuration, and maintenance within Salesforce.com, reducing administrative burden on Sales and improving speed, quality, and consistency of deal execution.The Deal Design Associate independently manages single‑site deals within defined approval authority and provides analytical and execution support for complex, multi‑site agreements and formal RFPs led by the Senior Manager, Deal Design.This position reports to the Senior Director, Deal Design and will be fully remote.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Support Sales in developing and executing deal strategies for small to mid-scale customer opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, business objectives, and established pricing and approval frameworksIndependently structure, analyze, and approve single-site and lower-risk commercial agreements, while providing analytical and execution support on complex, multi-site deals and formal RFPs led by senior Deal Design leadershipServe as a primary execution partner to field Sales by owning end-to-end quote creation, configuration, iteration, and maintenance in Salesforce.com, translating high-level deal direction into accurate, compliant, and executable quotesAct as a central point of coordination for quote requests, including intake, scoping validation, build, revision, and resubmission, enabling Sales teams to focus on customer engagement rather than administrative tasksCollaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Pricing, Finance, Service, and Contracts to validate assumptions, perform financial and margin analysis, and ensure timely, accurate deal executionSupport deal governance by reviewing assigned deals for accuracy, completeness, data quality, and adherence to standard processes and approval requirements; escalate non-standard or high-complexity scenarios as appropriateContribute to continuous improvement by maintaining strong Salesforce data hygiene, tracking quote activity and turnaround times, and supporting the development and adoption of standardized quoting processes, templates, and best practicesThe essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in pricing, finance, commercial operations, sales operations, contract development or a related function. Alternatively, candidates with experience in Laboratory diagnostics inside sales or sales are welcome.Working knowledge of commercial deal structures, pricing methodologies, and financial analysisExperience supporting or working within CPQ systems (Oracle CPQ preferred)Ability to operate effectively in a cross‑functional, matrixed environmentComfort operating in a high‑volume, fast‑paced sales environment with multiple concurrent quote requests and deadlinesIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Hands‑on experience building and managing quotes, opportunities, and customer records within Salesforce.comSupporting formal RFP responses or customer pricing proposalsExposure to healthcare, diagnostics, or laboratory environmentsAwareness of IDN customer structures or multi‑site commercial agreementsExperience in Pre‑Sales, Inside Sales, Sales Operations, or Commercial Enablement rolesBeckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
