A well-established organization is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and general accounting activities across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking to take the next step in their career while working closely with senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations for multiple entities
• Support the monthly close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and adjusting entries
• Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements, management reports, and weekly financial scorecards
• Manage and support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer inquiries and account resolution
• Oversee Accounts Payable processes and monthly credit card coding and reconciliations
• Assist with cost analysis and financial reporting related to manufacturing operations
• Support year-end close activities and coordinate information and documentation with external CPA partners
• Assist with preparation of annual tax return documentation and required state/local tax reporting
• Process and monitor banking transactions, including wires and other financial activity
• Maintain accurate intercompany records and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and business information
• Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity at all times

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Hands-on month-end close experience required
• Manufacturing and/or capital equipment industry experience preferred
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems; SAP Business One experience is a plus
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
