Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant, Consolidations leads assigned consolidation and reporting activities that support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for a multi-entity, multi-currency organization. Reporting to the Director, Accounting, this role prepares and reviews consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation adjustments, and consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. The Senior Accountant applies technical accounting knowledge and sound judgment to analyze results, resolve complex reconciliation matters, strengthen controls, and improve the scalability of consolidation and reporting processes across the organization. Job Responsibilities: Consolidation Ownership:Lead assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation activities for a multi-entity business with material intercompany and foreign currency activity. Consolidation Entries:Prepare and review consolidation entries, including eliminations, foreign currency translation adjustments, intercompany activity, and book-to-book adjustments, ensuring complete and accurate support. Financial Statement Review:Review consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and reporting packages for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Financial Analysis:Analyze consolidated financial results, investigate material fluctuations and variances, identify root causes, and communicate clear explanations and recommended actions to Finance leadership and key stakeholders. Intercompany Accounting:Lead assigned intercompany reconciliation and elimination processes, partner with regional Finance teams to resolve differences, and support timely settlement of balances across entities. Controls and Compliance:Monitor consolidation and intercompany accounting controls, identify control or documentation gaps, and implement practical improvements that strengthen accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness. Management and External Reporting:Support preparation of internal and external financial statements, management reporting packages, and related disclosures in accordance with approved reporting requirements. Audit Support:Support consolidated and entity-level audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, resolving questions, and providing financial reporting and consolidation-related documentation. Cross-Functional Partnership:Serve as a knowledgeable accounting partner to regional Finance teams and internal stakeholders by clarifying consolidation requirements, resolving routine technical matters, and escalating significant issues appropriately. Process Improvement and Digital Fluency:Identify and implement process improvements, standardization, automation, and approved AI-enabled solutions that improve close speed, reporting quality, reconciliation efficiency, and data integrity while protecting confidential information. Technical Development:Maintain current knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidation practices, foreign currency accounting, and relevant system capabilities, and apply updates within the assigned area of responsibility. Material financial fluctuations and variancessupportedby clear, accurate, and timely explanations. Complete, organized, and audit-ready documentation aligned with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements. Measurable improvements in close efficiency, process consistency, automation, or reporting quality within the assigned scope. Effective partnership andtimelycommunication with regional Finance teams, auditors, Finance leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders. Accountability Digital Fluency Problem Solving Process Management Quality Management Technical Proficiency Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ora relatedfield. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on consolidation and financial reporting responsibilities. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidation accounting, intercompany eliminations, and financial reporting principles. Experience preparing and reviewing consolidation entries, financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in a multi-entity environment. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large data sets, reconcile complex accounts, and build clear supporting schedules. Experience using ERP and consolidation systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Hyperion HFM, FCCS, BlackLine , or comparable platforms. Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage recurring deadlines in acomplexclose environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain accounting matters to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders. Ability to use approved AI-enabled and automation tools responsibly to support analysis, reconciliation, documentation, reporting, and process efficiency whilemaintainingdata confidentiality. Preferred: CPA or active CPA candidate. Experience with consolidations in a multi-entity, multi-currency organization. Experience with NetSuite ERP and OneStream financial consolidation and reporting platforms. Experience supporting book-to-book reconciliations and adjustments across multiple reporting frameworks. Experience supportingconsolidatedfinancial statement audits and entity-level audits. Experience implementing consolidation, close, reporting, or reconciliation process improvements and automation.
