This role involves reviewing applications for insurance coverage, determining the terms and conditions of policies, and making decisions about whether to approve or decline coverage based on risk assessments and company guidelines. The Underwriter utilizes statistical data, financial statements, and other relevant information to make informed decisions, ensuring that policies are both competitive and profitable for the organization.Education:Bachelor's Level Degree REQUIREDCertification/Licenses:None requiredExperience:2 years experience in health underwriting REQUIREDMust have experience in large group underwriting (51+ employees).Preferred experience in prospect rating, renewal rating, and self-fundingWe provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: $53,248 - $88,753.6.
