Production Assistants

Metropolis Performing Arts Centre is hiring Production Assistants for the Metropolis Presents Series through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027. This is a contractor role with varying part-time hours available on a first come, first served basis. The Metropolis Presents Series consists of one night only or limited engagement style events ranging from concerts, comedy, magicians, TYA, and more. The Production Assistant role is primarily responsible for preparing hospitality for visiting artists and serves as the Point of Contact on the day of the event. The PA will report directly to the Metropolis Presents Series Manager. The PA must be present typically one hour before artist arrival to organize hospitality, ensure dressing rooms are clean and stocked, and assist in the preparation of any other technical needs for the event in collaboration with the Head of Sound and Head of Electrics. Candidates who will excel in this position are ready to provide friendly, helpful assistance to artists when needed and are able to problem solve quickly as issues arise. Stage Management, Production Management, or Company Management experience is a plus, but not required.
