ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

 
•             Make the initial contact with clientele, schedule phone screening and/or face to face meeting with client and see what services the agency can provide for the client
•             Process intake paperwork
•             Verify insurance information and mental health coverage 
•             Meet with Program Director to seek appropriate counselor to take on the role of providing services for client
•             Contact referral sources once referral has been received and will also contact referral sources to inform status or any updates on referrals. 
•             Contact all community partners and stakeholders through personal visits, telephone calls and letters/ mailers on an ongoing basis, developing and encouraging a relationship of trust with all active accounts.
•             Monitor referrals and admissions and plan an appropriate strategy to maximize referral potential by maintaining a referral log.
•             Attend scheduled department meetings to provide the Program Director with timely reports on month­ end reviews, client servicing schedules, and other reporting requirements.
•             Develops and maintains direct referral relationships in designated target markets, generating and supporting utilization of the facility's continuum of care.
·                     Maintain discharge follow-up log 
·                     Enter authorizations in Notenetic EMR system
•            Performs other job duties and/or projects as assigned by Program Director 

 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

 
Education: Bachelor's degree in the human services field; psychology, social work, counseling, and sociology.  Master’s degree (preferred) 
Experience: 1 year of experience in behavioral/mental health
