This individual will be responsible for carrier compliance, rate management, vendor pickup strategy, and nationwide logistics performance, partnering closely with Finance, Distribution, and Procurement to keep freight moving efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $90,000-$95,000/year
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• Individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required
• Located in San Bernardino, California

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carrier Compliance & Performance — Ensure all freight carriers meet company standards, regulatory requirements, safety expectations, and contractual obligations.
• Rate & Contract Strategy — Negotiate competitive carrier rates, collaborate with Finance on contract structure, and protect margin integrity across all lanes.
• Nationwide Logistics Operations — Develop and implement processes that elevate service, reduce cost, and strengthen operational consistency across all locations.
• Vendor Pickup Optimization — Design efficient pickup strategies, streamline scheduling, and adapt routing to market conditions and business needs.
• KPI Ownership — Build and maintain performance metrics for on-time delivery, safety, cost control, and carrier reliability.
• Cross-Functional Leadership — Partner with distribution, procurement, and finance teams to drive alignment, solve problems, and support nationwide growth.
• Safety & Compliance — Uphold company safety policies, SOPs, OSHA standards, and Code of Safe Practices across all logistics activities.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership in logistics management, transportation strategy, or carrier operations
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and influence at all levels
• Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• High-level proficiency in logistics systems, including:
• Truckmate (TMW)
• Road Net TMS
• Qualcomm GPS
• PC Miler (zone tree)
• Load boards & freight calculators
• Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
• BA preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Must be able to access all warehouse areas
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures within a distribution center
• Must be able to travel
