Dental HygienistAB Clinic - Lubbock, TX 79415OverviewPosition Type Full Time Job Shift DayDescriptionThe Dental Hygienist works as part of the dental provider team providing dental services to the patients of the Center. The Dental hygienist performs dental prophylactic services and provides educational information for the prevention and control of dental disease. Responsibilities and duties for a Dental Hygienist include:Screening patients during checkupsReviewing a patient's dental historyRecommending care to improve a patient's oral healthTeaching patients about proper teeth cleaning techniquesPerforming preventive dental careApplying fluoride treatmentsTaking x-rays and reviewing them for signs of dental diseasesQualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in Dental HygieneLicensure: Licensed as a Dental Hygienist in the State of TexasExperience: No previous experience requiredExpertise: Basic techniques in Dental Hygiene.
