Associate Banker

Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects as a part‑time lobby leader (20 hrs per week). Work collaboratively with branch staff and BMO partners to provide personal banking and investment advice, identify customer needs, and recommend appropriate banking channels and products. Engage customers in needs‑based conversations, identify referral opportunities, and introduce marketing promotions and programs. Conduct client conversations, recommend alternative banking channels, and provide guidance on digital and self‑serve options. Meet transaction‑based needs with seamless execution and maintain accuracy and completeness of work information. Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on customer applications, and filing. Act as a key member of a versatile branch and market team, potentially working at multiple branches or through various channels. Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets, maintain privacy, and act in the best interest of customers. Keep current with regulatory requirements, market trends, and personal banking products. Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering. Complete complex tasks within established rules and limits, analyze issues, and determine next steps. Qualifications Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience or a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions, ability to refer to specialists when needed. Confidence and experience using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications. Experience in consultative customer service or sales roles with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience. Passionate commitment to helping customers and a focus on results in a team‑based environment. Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers and collaborate in different capacities. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and connections, and aptitude for listening, problem solving, and creative response to challenges. Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, collaboration, and analytical problem‑solving skills. Salary & Benefits Salary: $41,714.00 – $50,000.00 (Salaried). Salaries for part‑time roles are pro‑rated based on hours regularly worked. For commission roles the listed salary represents the expected target for the first year. Total compensation may include performance‐based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
