ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Help a growing hospitality company move forward.Shamin Hotels is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who brings together strong technical accounting knowledge, an operational mindset, and a genuine ability to lead and develop people.This is not a role where you will simply sit behind a desk reviewing spreadsheets. You will lead and develop a team of hotel accountants, partner with leaders across our organization, and help ensure the financial health and accuracy of a growing, multi-entity hotel portfolio.Our ideal candidate understands that great accounting is about more than getting the numbers right. It is about understanding the business behind those numbers, identifying issues before they become problems, creating processes that scale, and helping operational leaders make better decisions.What You’ll DoYou’ll oversee and develop a team of hotel accountants responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial accuracy of multiple hotel properties. You’ll serve as a key connection between Accounting and Operations, helping our teams understand the financial story of their hotels while ensuring strong controls and consistent processes.In this role, you will:Lead, coach, and develop hotel accountants, creating clear expectations and building technical expertise across the team.Oversee daily financial transactions flowing from multiple hotel property management systems into the general ledger.Review accounts receivable, guest ledger balances, cash receipts, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts for accuracy and timely resolution.Review monthly Profit & Loss statements and partner with General Managers and Regional Directors to ensure financial results are complete and accurate.Oversee sales tax, occupancy tax, tourism fee reconciliations, and monthly tax filings.Support the accounting onboarding of newly managed hotels as our portfolio continues to grow.Manage monthly management fee billing and other assigned company reporting.Develop and maintain accounting procedures that create consistency, accountability, and efficiency across our hotel portfolio.Partner closely with the Controller and operational leadership to solve problems, improve processes, and support the business.Who We’re Looking ForYou are someone who can move comfortably between the details and the bigger picture. You know when to dig into a reconciliation, when to ask another question, and when to help someone understand the "why" behind a financial process.You are also a people leader. You enjoy teaching, developing others, and creating stronger systems—not simply fixing every problem yourself.Required qualifications include:A four-year undergraduate degree in Accounting is required.At least three years of experience supervising or managing employees.Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to review financial information, identify discrepancies, and drive issues through resolution.Experience in operational accounting, hospitality, high-volume transaction environments, or multi-entity/multi-location organizations is strongly preferred. Experience working across multiple systems and with balance sheet reconciliations and audit schedules is also valuable.You should be comfortable communicating financial concepts to people who may not have an accounting background and have strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and other standard business technology.The Kind of Leader Who Will Thrive HereShamin Hotels is a growing organization, and growth brings opportunity, complexity, and change.
