About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Procedure monitoring experience - Experience in pre and post recovery of GI patients - Starting and maintaining IVs - Recover monitored anesthesia care sedation Description: The role involves working in the prep/recovery space for a busy GI lab. RNs will provide care in the preoperative and postoperative areas. Candidates should possess some GI knowledge to effectively educate patients. Average daily census is approximately 60 patients per day. The schedule consists of Monday through Friday with no weekend or holiday shifts. Occasional late shifts may be required. Position requires floating within the service line. Candidates must have experience in outpatient endoscopy centers and pre/post-procedure care. Prior experience as a PACU or ED nurse would be beneficial. Must be comfortable with interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. Successful candidates should be able to pass the EKG exam.
