As a Security Officer Armed Identity Verification in Santa Fe Springs, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a professional environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, process visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe inbound and outbound traffic, support controlled entry and exit procedures for personnel and vehicles, and document relevant activity in required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
