Inventory Specialist

Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an Inventory Specialist for a client in Aurora, IL . An Inventory Specialist is responsible for stock tracking, auditing, logistics, and physical labor.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18.50+/HR.), depending on forklift certification, as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include:
1st Shift (7am-3:30pm)
Job Responsibilities of the Inventory Specialist : • Operating warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or internal ERP systems to log deliveries.
• Performing daily or weekly cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliation to fix discrepancies.
• Coordinating with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to prevent stockouts and fulfill orders.
• Lifting heavy items, operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts), and spending long hours standing on the floor.

Required Qualifications of the Inventory Specialist :• Strong ability to spot patterns in data and investigate missing or damaged items.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized barcode scanning equipment.
• Collaborating with vendors and mentoring team members on inventory compliance.
• The capacity to bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
