Job Details Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO Department: Enterprise Float Pool Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Flex Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 per hour (dependent on experience) Position Type: Onsite only; no hybrid or remote option Summary Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. P passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Uses critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and works with minimal supervision. Works in a fast‑paced environment and takes appropriate actions. Qualifications Education: High School diploma, GED, or military training. Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration; Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 6 months surgical tech experience or graduate of an accredited surgical tech program. Must hold a valid BLS or CPR card from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, valid through 60 days of hire.
