Contract Support Specialist

Profile: Remote work opportunities available for the following states: AK, AR, AZ, CO, FL, HI, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MD, MN, MO, MT, NE, NV, NM, NC, ND, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA/DC, WA, WI & WY only. A Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship and a favorably adjudicated DOD background investigation for this position. Job Summary Coordinates incoming correspondence in Provider Services, including reviewing and researching each issue/request, maintaining a log of all requests received, and electronically distributing all requests to the appropriate department or staff within the expected timeline. Ensures all provider agreements received in Provider Services are appropriately scanned and imaged into the contract management system; reviews agreements for any redlined changes, maintains a log of all agreements, and performs quality controls on agreement images. Education & Experience Required High School Diploma or GED 2 years of varied responsible experience with computer database programs Preferred 2 years of data entry experience Experience using provider data management system and/or contract management system(s) Experience working for a managed care program or health care provider Key Responsibilities Effectively communicate through writing and/or by phone when contracting internal and external customers to triage and bring resolution to incoming workload. Review and research all contact notes received in Provider Services; electronically distribute to appropriate department/staff within the expected timeline. Review and research all incoming inter‑office mail and external correspondence for provider data correction requests, and distribute to appropriate department/staff. Review all provider agreements received in Provider Services for accuracy and completeness, identifying any inappropriate redlined changes and determining appropriate handling. Maintain a log of all provider agreements received in Provider Services. Scan and image all provider agreements received in Provider Services; apply quality controls to ensure image quality. Assist with development and updating of protocols and desk procedures. Triaging and tracking issue resolution to completion. Perform other duties as assigned. Problem Solving / Analysis: Ability to solve problems through systematic analysis of processes with sound judgment; realistic understanding of relevant issues. Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of the credentialing process and requirements; proficiency with Word, Excel, Visual Cactus 3.0; ability to produce reports through querying; working knowledge of VA policies and procedures outlined in the VA Operations Manual, VA Policy Manual, DoD Regulations, and the TriWest Central Region RFP.
