This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently while partnering closely with ownership and the company's CPA. Bookkeeper Responsibilities Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Collaborate with the company's CPA to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and year-end reporting. Process payroll, including certified payroll reporting and payroll tax filings. Coordinate preliminary notices, lien waivers, and lien release documentation. Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, deposits, and customer account maintenance. Process accounts payable, including invoice verification, approvals, payment preparation, and vendor record maintenance. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts. Set up new jobs, maintain job costing records, monitor project costs, and prepare work-in-progress (WIP) schedules. Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Monitor and reconcile company credit lines, equipment financing, and vehicle loan accounts. Prepare financial reports and provide the owner with regular updates on the company's financial performance and cash flow.
