2027 Staff Accountant Intern

Position Summary This internship will expose future leaders of public accounting to audit, tax preparation, and research within a growing national CPA firm. Interns will work on real client engagements, learn to build client relationships, and gain hands‑on experience in a supportive, inclusive environment. Your Contributions and Responsibilities Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by Supervisor or Manager. Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements. Conduct business‑specific research, gather and analyze data, compile reports, and make recommendations to principals and partners. Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Your Background and Skills Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (obtained degree is a plus). GPA of 3.20 or higher. Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and being on track or qualified to sit for the CPA examination. Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Perform work accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through. Ability to work under close supervision, accept constructive feedback, and collaborate with a team‑oriented environment. Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word & Excel, and report writing tools. Benefits Compensation: $29 per hour. Competitive salaries with continuous market review.
