Job Title: Automation Technician Injection Molding
Location: Libertyville, IL
Pay Range: $35 - $40 Per Hour
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Automation Technician with strong hands-on experience in injection molding automation and robotics. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, program, and maintain molding automation systems to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, sensors, VFDs, servo systems, and molding automation equipment.
- Program and optimize robots such as Sepro, Fanuc, Yushin, and Wittmann.
- Support mold trials, new product launches, and automation setup.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot conveyors, vision systems, EOAT, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Maintain robot programs, equipment settings, and maintenance documentation.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in injection molding automation or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with robot programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, and automation systems.
- Experience with EOAT and molding automation.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Automation certification/degree preferred.
