A facility in Southern Connecticut seeks a locum tenens cardiovascular physician associate to provide comprehensive inpatient cardiac care services starting immediately. The institution maintains modern equipment and established protocols necessary for effective cardiovascular disease management and patient care delivery. Candidates must have an active Connecticut license with approximately 3 months required for full credentialing, though temporary privileges will be requested.

Connecticut features notable attractions including the Mystic Seaport Museum, which serves as a prominent history museum, and Foxwoods Resort Casino for gaming entertainment. The physician associate will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with variable patient volumes based on daily procedure schedules. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient rounds, managing cardiovascular consultations, and providing pre- and post-operative care without performing procedures. The position requires board certification and prescriptive authority with no call requirements. The clinician will collaborate with APPs and nursing staff to deliver specialized cardiovascular services in the inpatient setting.
