About the Position

Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant

Location : Connecticut

Schedule : Night shifts, typically 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Approximately 13 shifts per month. Most shifts are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, with flexibility for occasional day or weekend shifts as needed.

Position Overview

Provide inpatient orthopedic surgery physician assistant coverage including patient evaluation and perioperative support. First assist experience in the operating room is required.

Typical Volume

• Approximately 5 to 15 patients per shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut license
• NCCPA certification
• DEA and controlled substance registration as required
• BLS
• ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic experience
• First assist experience in the operating room

Work Environment

• Setting: inpatient
• EMR: Epic
