Job Title Construction Scheduling Manager - ID: 45143 Duration 1 year Start Date ASAP Location San Antonio, TX JOB DETAILS: Position: Construction Scheduling Manager JOB REF#: 45143 - 1512288 Duration: 12+ Months (On-going Contract) Location: ONSITE - San Antonio, TX 78264 Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.50 per hour (W2 Only) We are only accepting LOCAL Candidates for this role This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered, MON-Friday Schedule Manager is responsible for the following: Baseline Schedule Creation: Build dynamic, detailed master project schedules from pre-construction to close-out using MS Project. Logic & Sequencing: Establish accurate activity logic, predecessor/successor relationships, lead/lag times, and work breakdown structures (WBS). Daily/Weekly/Monthly Updates: Progress update master schedules by tracking field productivity, milestone achievements, and subcontractor site activities. Critical Path Analysis: Monitor and analyze critical and near-critical paths to identify potential bottlenecks before they impact project completion dates. Delay Impact Assessments: Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and delay forensic reviews to evaluate change orders, claims, and scope modifications. Mitigation Strategies: Work directly with field teams to develop recovery or acceleration schedules (e.g., fast-tracking or crashing activities) when delays occur. Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead regular scheduling review meetings with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Trade Contractors to align on short-term look-aheads (e.g., 3-week look-ahead schedules). Progress Dashboarding: Generate Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, S-curves, and progress dashboards for executive updates and owner/client reporting. Labor & Resource Tracking: Analyze resource loading (manpower, equipment, materials) to ensure trade labor availability aligns with site capacity and baseline targets. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Experience developing and managing detailed construction project schedules from pre-construction through close-out. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, including baseline schedule development, progress updates, and schedule reporting. Experience developing work breakdown structures (WBS), activity sequencing, predecessor/successor relationships, and lead/lag times. Experience performing Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to identify schedule risks, bottlenecks, and potential delays. Experience conducting Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and forensic schedule reviews to evaluate delays, change orders, claims, and scope changes. Experience developing recovery and acceleration schedules in coordination with field teams. Experience tracking field productivity, subcontractor activities, construction milestones, and actual progress against baseline schedules. Experience analyzing resource loaded schedules, including manpower, equipment, and material requirements. Experience generating Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, S-curves, and progress dashboards for management and client reporting. Strong communication and coordination skills, including leading schedule review meetings with project managers, superintendents, and trade contractors and preparing three week look-ahead schedules.
