Our client is a premier steel manufacturer with over 125 years of industry leadership, supplying top-tier, high-grade steel to a variety of industries. They have over 1000 employees onsite at this location and they are continuing to grow. They are currently seeking a Quality Manager with a strong background in the steel/heavy industrial industries.

Job Description

Support quality assurance efforts within a large-scale manufacturing environment by ensuring products meet customer specifications and internal standards. Partner closely with operations to provide metallurgical and technical support across production. Analyze process and product data to identify opportunities for quality improvement. Lead and support root cause investigations, rejection analysis, and corrective actions. Perform internal audits and maintain compliance with quality systems and procedure. Develop and present quality reports and participate in quality-related meetings. Conduct daily floor audits to ensure operations are running within defined parameters. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency and product quality.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Experience within steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of quality systems, with exposure to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 preferred. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements. Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with operations and engineering teams. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in a plant environment. Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.

Salary typically between $100K-$130K depending on experience. Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision). 401k with ~6% company match. PTO starting at 3 weeks.
