Registered Nurse - Acute Oncology - Full-Time

Role Overview The registered nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. Delegation and appropriate assignment of care tasks are integral to managing clinical situations effectively. They assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. Delegation and appropriate assignment of care tasks are integral to managing clinical situations effectively. Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care following the nursing process and standards of practice. Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, and evaluate effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources. Meet competency requirements through orientation, preceptorship, and ongoing training. Maintain current certifications such as BLS and PALS. Participate in residency or orientation programs as needed. Demonstrate leadership skills, including delegation and managing contingencies. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Current RN license and BLS certification required; PALS certification also required. Ability to assess complex patient needs and provide education tailored to patients and families. Competency in administering treatments and documenting care accurately. Strong communication, critical thinking, and delegation skills. Additional Requirements Successful completion of orientation, competency validation, and participation in training programs.
