Locums Long Beach, California, Pediatric Endocrinologist

Seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist for an ongoing locum opportunity in Long Beach, California.

Start Date: October 19, 2026, or as soon as credentialed

Opportunity: Ongoing need with potential for locum-to-permanent consideration.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active California License Required
• Board Eligible or Board Certified Required
  • Board Eligible candidates are acceptable if they are early career and within the required timeframe to sit for boards
  • Newly completed fellowship candidates may be considered

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience Required
• Epic EMR experience Required
• Pediatric Endocrinology experience

Availability & Scheduling

• 1 week per month
• MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM
• Typically includes:
  • Half-day clinic
  • Hospital rounding
  • Weeknight call
  • Weekend call
• Video visits may be an option
• Candidates should be flexible regarding the exact clinic schedule
• Local candidates highly preferred

Call & Coverage

• Weeknight and weekend call coverage may include calls from:
  • Emergency Department
  • NICU
  • PICU
  • Inpatient Hospitalists
• Callback volume is still being determined and is expected to be limited.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Pediatric Endocrinology clinic
• Inpatient hospital rounding
• Insulin pump management
• Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) management
• Supervision of infusion center procedures, including:
  • Stimulation testing
  • Other endocrine testing

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have:

• Active California license
• BE/BC in Pediatric Endocrinology
• 2+ years of experience
• Epic experience
• Availability for one full week per month
• Flexibility for clinic, inpatient rounding, and call
• Local Long Beach-area availability preferred
