Secretary - Associate Principal

Reports To: Associate Principal
Duty Days: 228
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Pay Grade: AS03
Qualifications:
- College hours, high school diploma or GED
- Successful school work experience
- 50 WPM with accuracy
- Knowledge of file management system
- Good communication skills
- Expertise in office machines including computer
- Knowledge of word processing
- Experience with budget and bookkeeping
- Ability to organize
Primary Purpose:
Clerical assistance as assigned
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Type correspondence, reports, agendas, memos, etc.
- Daily telephone communication.
- Coordinate communications with department personnel.
- Greet and assist visitors and district personnel.
- Xerox and distribute copies.
- Receive, process, and distribute mail.
- Keep daily and monthly reports up-to-date, record and distribute.
- Maintain filing system.
Equipment Used:
Personal computer, typewriter, printer, copier, and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions.
