The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch manager in all areas of operations to drive growth and profit within the Branch. The following is a list of job duties for an Operations Manager. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Job Duties: Assesslocalmarketconditions,identifycurrentandprospectivesalesopportunities, anddevelop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans for the branch. Recommenddesirablechangesinthepoliciesandgoalsofthebranchandtheorganization. AssisttheRegionalandBranchManagerindevelopingbranchandorganizationalobjectives. Addresscustomersatisfactionissuespromptly. CooperatefullywiththeCreditDepartmentinextendingandenforcingcreditpolicy. Achievetheprofitabilitygoals/objectivesofthedivision/branchandorganization. Understandoverallaccountabilityforrevenue,margins,mix,andmarketshareobjectives. Manageandgrowexistingdistributionaccountsfromanoperationslevel. Analyzedatafortrendsanddevelopandexecute“value-added”programs. Assistincreatingandimplementingprogramstodrivesalesandimprovemargins. Participateinoperationsmeetingsandpreparerequiredreports. Workcollaborativelywithareasuppliers,salesdirectors,andmanufacturers’reporganizations. Increaseknowledgeofindustryandproductsandmanagementandfinancedisciplines. Followcompanypoliciesandprocedures. Education: High school diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred). Experience: Minimum one year in a similar position (4 years preferred). Minimum three years in progressive position (4 years preferred). Product/applications experience required.
