About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred, 1+ year accepted if Level 1/Teaching Facility experience. License: Pending license accepted. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required. Must-Have: Phlebotomy and IV skills. Must pass EKG exam. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical setting. The start date is 3-4 weeks from compliance. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:3-5. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. This is a short-term acute care facility. It is a Magnet and teaching hospital with Level I trauma services. Total staffed beds are 1,273. Charting is done through a designated electronic medical record system. Daily census is approximately 20 patients per side. Travelers will float within service lines to meet facility needs. No call requirements apply. No local candidates accepted within a specified radius. The role involves interdisciplinary support from various healthcare services. The unit focuses on acute care medical and surgical patients. Successful candidates will need to pass an EKG exam for dysrhythmia management. All travel requirements must adhere to established policies. Mid-contract cancellations are not permitted. All requests for time off must be finalized at submission.
