Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialty position in Chicago, Illinois. This assignment spans 20 weeks, requiring a qualified Registered Nurse with pediatric operating room experience. The role involves scrubbing and circulating during procedures, with responsibilities including weekend call, holiday coverage, and adherence to facility protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Illinois license valid at time of submission, and a minimum of 2 years of operating room experience focusing on pediatric patients
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a cardiac team setting is advantageous
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The assignment involves specific responsibilities in pediatric surgeries, utilizing standard operating room equipment including defibrillators. Orientation consists of a 2-week schedule, with duties requiring scrubbing and circulating in a team of seven members. The dress code is casual. The facility mandates flu and Covid vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers at the time of submission.
